It's a great place with great WiFi. The people are nice and the park is beautiful.
This is a gentle place. When i say gentle, i mean, easy, slow, warm, very homie. The cabins have cender block walls, each with a minimally supplied kitchen with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot. The cabin has both ac & heat. The bathroom is extremely small & the shower is the smallest i have ever been in. The view from all the cabins are of nature, lots of flowers, and trees. Some even have a view of Lake Whitney. The owners also raise peacocks, they roam the property freely. They are not afraid of people, but also will not attack. On my last visit, i hand fed two of the peacocks. The owners are down to earth folks and treat you like family.
we saw a road-runner, and got real closeup to Pete the Peacock, enjoyed our own BBQ grill, only a stone's throw from the lake. The rooms had rustic down-home charm but the best by far was the southern hospitality and friendly helpfulness of the folks who run Cherokee Village. just need better internet at cabin.
Decent location but confusing to get to. Has alot of sleeping space inside aswell, no cellphone service in general area is only problem
